Environment Types

Environment Types are created, amended and deleted through the Environment Type grid in Reference Data Manager. Environment Type is used to group Environments into containers on the Home Page.

An Environment Type consists of

Type - Environment container label 

Description - Description of Label

Display Order - Environment Type container display order on Home Page 

Environment Types are associated or allocated with the following

  • Environments

To create a new environment type

Open Environment Type from Reference Data Manager

Click Add Environment Type

Enter Type, Description and Display Order

Click Save

Save will apply changes and take you back to the Environment Type grid

 

To edit an existing database

Open Environment Type from Reference Data Manager

Click Edit (Pen icon) for the Environment Type you wish to amend

Update Type, Description and Display Order as required

Click Save

Click Cancel If you do not wish save your changes

Save or Cancel will take you back to the Environment Type grid

To Delete an existing database

Open Environment Type from Reference Data Manager

Click Delete (Bin icon) for the Environment Type you wish to delete

You will be asked to confirm your Deletion

Environment Type grid is refreshed

If the Environment Type is associated to an Environment then the Deletion will be blocked and an error message display. These associations need to be removed or reassigned before the Environment Type can be deleted.
