Applications

Applications are created, amended and deleted through the Application grid in Reference Data Manager. Default emdash applications like Endur, Cube and some Endur Components will already exist.

An Application consists of

Application Name - Label of Application

Description - Simple description of the application and application owner

Application Type - Associated application group (e.g. Endur, Cube, Endur Component) 

Source Code Dir - Source location of application code versions

Target Code Dir - Destination location of the application code, binaries, etc

Code Bit - Bit code version (combination of x86, x64 or NA)

Applications are associated or allocated with the following

  • Environments
  • Code Versions
  • Application Type
  • Database Component
  • Environment Wide Settings

To create a new application

Open Applications from Reference Data Manager

Click Add Application

Enter Application Name, Description, Source Code Dir, Target Code Dir

Select Application Type and Code Bit from drop down

Click Save

Save will apply changes and take you back to the Application grid

 

To edit an existing application

Open Applications from Reference Data Manager

Click Edit (Pen icon) for the Application you wish to amend

Update Application Name, Description, Source Code Dir, Target Code Dir as required

Select Application Type and Code Bit from drop down as required

Click Save

Click Cancel If you do not wish save your changes

Save or Cancel will take you back to the Application grid

To Delete an existing application

Open Applications from Reference Data Manager

Click Delete (Bin icon) for the Application you wish to delete

You will be asked to confirm your Deletion

Application grid is refreshed

If the Application is associated or allocated then the Deletion will be blocked and an error message display. These associations and allocations need to be removed before the Application can be deleted.

Please note, if deleted by mistake then the Application will need to be recreated through the Create process.
